Med utgangspunkt i et byggesett, setter deltagerne sammen et velfungerende, lite og vakkert orgelinstrument med piper, belg og tangenter. Gjennom prosessen blir de kjent med hva som skal til for å lage toner utav mekanisk bevegelse. Det blir også omvisning inni det store konserthusorgelet, mellom de 4554 pipene!Passer for alle fra 6 år.
Vi starter med en miniforestilling med danser Cesilie Kverneland og organist Daniel Opdal.

Cesilie Kverneland har mer enn 20 års praksis som danser og koreograf, med utdannelse fra Universitetet i Stavanger, Peridance Capezio Dance Theatre i New York, California Institute of the Arts i Los Angeles og Arts fra Contemporary Dance fra London Contemporary Dance School. Hun har skapt og medvirket i en lang rekke scenekunstprkduksjoner i inn- og utland. Daniel Opdal studerer kirkemusikk ved UiS, og omtales som et stort talent. Han er en svært aktiv utøver.

Build Your Own Organ – A Musical Discovery for All Ages
In this hands-on workshop, participants will build a fully functional, small and beautiful pipe organ from a specially designed kit—complete with pipes, bellows, and keys. Along the way, you'll discover how mechanical movement is transformed into music, and learn the inner workings of this fascinating instrument.
The experience also includes a guided tour inside the majestic concert hall organ—home to 4,554 pipes! A rare opportunity to explore the heart of one of Norway’s largest musical instruments.
We begin with a short performance by acclaimed dancer Cesilie Kverneland and talented young organist Daniel Opdal.
Can we think of the pipe organ as a kind of mechanical body? With a wooden skeleton, bellows acting as lungs, and flutes as vocal cords? Let your imagination—and your senses—be inspired.
Suitable for all from age 5 and up.
